An emergency road closure has been put in place due to the likelihood of danger as a result of the dangerous condition of the road.
This notice will be in force for a period of up to 21 days from 18th January 2022, as and when the relevant signs are displayed. It is anticipated that the restriction will be required for 11 nights between the hours of 2200 and 0600 Monday to Friday. Between the hours of 2000 and 2200 a convoy system will be in place to escort vehicles through site when it is practical and safe to do so.

Location: A595 Buckman Brow, Millom approx. 140m east of its junction with the C4028 extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 2km.
Alternative Route: A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be available via the unrestricted sections of A595, A5092, A590, A591, A6, A65, A6 and the A66.
