Marking out the new goalpost positions
As part of the play area installation the goalposts were relocated. This brings the playing area into line with national specifications and Sport England requirements, providing a pitch with playing area of 40x20m plus the required run-off zones. The work was carried out by play area installers, Kompan, free of charge, for which the Parish Council are very grateful. We would also like thank Chris Gibson for his handiwork in modifying the post sleeve fixings. The new layout of the soccer pitch fits in well with the overall scheme and we hope the slightly shorter, wider pitch may tempt a few people to pull on their trainers and have a kick-a-bout.
