The Bay and North Cumbria Unitary Areas
The full business case for The Bay proposal for a two unitary model for the local government reorganisation of Cumbria. This proposes forming one unitary authority comprising existing councils of Barrow-in-Furness Borough, South Lakes District and Lancaster City and a separate North Cumbria unitary authority with the remaining Cumbrian Councils, including Copeland.
