Biography
Originally from the North East I moved to Millom with my husband and three children in 1982. I was a teacher and Head of Technology at Millom School for many years until I retired in 2010.
Roles within the Community
I took a lead role in the development, compiling and completion of the Community Plan which has led to me on to taking an active role in the setting up of a play park at Thwaites and the development of a cycle/footpath between The Hill and The Green.
I am on the Board of Governors at Thwaites School.
Community Interests
I like to stay active and count walking in this beautiful area as one of my favourite pastimes. I enjoy village life and especially issues surrounding the environment and conservation. I take my responsibility as a councillor very seriously and see it as an opportunity to put something back into the community.
