The Clerk presented a budget to the council. The following were committed reserves
Play Park £1k, Middle Cut £400, Emerging projects within the Community Plan
£1000, Permissive footpath £5000
110/22.6 To set the precept for the financial year 2023/24
The Clerk recommended that the precept remain the same as the current financial
year at £12000
It was resolved to accept the clerks recommendation

111/22 PARISH MATTERS
111/22.1 Community Plan
a) Woodland Management
Cllr Murray had received 3 quotations for a bare tree survey of the woodlands.
Resolved to award the contract to Cumbria Tree Surveys

b) Footpath Rising Hill to The Green
Funding has been secured for the permissive footpath. A specification has been
obtained, To consult with residents.
c) Traffic Management speed survey data Dunningwell
The report of the speed survey was discussed the average speed was well below
30mph. Copies of the report to be made available to residents
d) Hidden Gems Project
Cllr Calsy suggested the Lime Kiln and the cockpit.
e) Play Inspection Report
Clerk to write to Village Hall Committee identifying which items the Parish Council
are responsible for
Clerk to re-contact Prison for assistance in moving the bench.
f) Solar lights Green Road

Quotations have been received. A consultation with residents to be undertaken
early December. Clerk to contact supplier for photographs.
g) Dog Fouling
Increased on route to Green Road Station. Clerk to pursue with Cllr A Pratt for
additional bins and dog warden for signage.
h) Safe Pedestrian Walking from The Green to Thwaites
Hedges overgrowing, Clerk to report

a) Telephone Box repairs
The Clerk reported that an insurance pay out of £1315 had been received to
repair the telephone box.
Paint to be purchased and prison contacted.

Cllr Carrington gave feedback from the last meeting attended:

Cllr Calsy attending the Climate course on 1 December 2022
Cllr Calsy requested that a letter of thanks be sent to the residents of Lady
Hall who had cut the vegetation at the junction.
