68/22.1 Speed Indicators

Poles now in place, still requiring date for installation. Clerk to pursue CCC regarding this outstanding installation

68/22.2 Middle Cut

The Clerk reported that 5 responses had been received 4 for the proposal and 1 against. Footpaths team to be contacted re counter proposal. A definitive footpaths map to be obtained. Clerk to pursue responses from those landowners who have yet to respond.

70/22 COUNTY COUNCIL AND DISTRICT COUNCILLORS’ REPORTS

It was proposed by the Chair and seconded by Cllr Nugent that the following Agenda items be brought forward to be discussed within the County Councillor’s report

71/22 Rising Hill – The Green

The Clerk reported that still awaiting a response from CC Highways regarding ownership. It was resolved that if a response had not been received by 30 September 2022, then the project would go ahead.

72/22 Hallbank signage

Cty Cllr Hitchen reported that there would not be any new signs until financial year 23/24. Clerk to request they be included.

Clerk to keep a list of outstanding jobs for new authority

73/22 Dunningwell Speed Survey

CC Highways struggling to find suitable street furniture to attach equipment to. Suggested that they use the same for the previous survey. The Clerk will progress this matter.

74/22 Roadworks in The Hill

Cty Cllr Hitchen confirmed that the road was adopted and that some repairs had been undertaken and that the reminder would be undertaken in the 23/24 budget.

Residents to be encouraged to photograph and report potholes on all the roads within The Hill and down to the Railway.

75/22 Corney Fell Road closure

Cllr Wright asked for the latest update re this closure. Work had ceased re nesting birds and would recommence shortly

Certificate of lawful use application to establish the lawful use of Dunningwell Hall for Short Stay Self Catering Accommodation

The Council do not support this application.

The Clerk reported that CBC Planning dept are awaiting a response from the developers re matters raised.

Clerk reported that this has been chased and awaiting a response. To escalate to complaints process if no response by end of September 2022.

  1. South Copeland Community Partnership - GDF

    Cllr Carrington reported that the group were expecting to move to an open/public forum from October. There is a recruitment campaign to widen the membership of the partnership. Seeking to provide balance information, the membership and widen community engagement.

  2. Code of Conduct

The new Code of Conduct for Councillors had been previously circulated. Proposed by Cllr Calsy, Seconded by Cllr Nugent to accept
