The Clerk reported that an additional land owner had been identified and would be contacted. Clerk to send a copy of the response from footpaths officer to counter proposal objectors. Letters to be sent to those non-responders.

The Clerk reported that the Domain name was due for renewal and proposed that a 2 year deal was taken at a saving of £5.

The Clerk presented a draft budget to the council. After discussion, the clerk to present the final budget to the November meeting along with a detailed report to include projects for the next financial year and ring fenced reserves.
Cllr Murray pursing 3 quotations for a bare tree survey of the woodlands.
The Clerk reported that no response had been received from CC Highways re-ownership. Due diligence had been undertaken to ascertain ownership of the land. Ghyll Scaur Quarry to be approached to undertake a services survey of the land.
The Clerk reported that a request has been made that the signage be included in the next purchase by CC Highways. This had been acknowledged
The Clerk reported that CC Highways had been contacted re possible sites for siting of the speed survey equipment

Clerk to write to Village Hall Committee identifying which items the Parish Council are responsible for
Clerk to contact Prison for assistance in moving the bench.
The Clerk reported that a complaint has been submitted to Zurich re the lack of communication on the claim. 7 working days have been given for a response before a formal complaint will be submitted to the Insurance Ombudsman.
Partnership trying to expand membership from other sections of the community Investment funding has been allocated for this financial year

Cllr Murray asked permission to put up the poppy swarth on the war memorial for Remembrance Sunday
Cllr Murray asked that the wood holding up the notice board in The Green could be cut to height. Cllr Lockwood to seek advice from contractor
Cllr Bates reported fly tipping on the car park at Rock Park. To send information to Clerk to report to Copeland BC
Cllr Kitchingman reported that some complaints on Facebook re lack of light down to station. Clerk to write an article for Out and About outlining the situation and challenges.
Cllr Kitchingman requested that information be provided on how to report faulty street lights. Clerk to produce

Cllr Nugent reported that road to Po House is overgrown. Road down to Underhill to be included. Clerk to report to Highways
