91/22 PROGRESS REPORTS

91/22.1 Speed Indicators

One had been installed but needs adjusting to reflect the speed limit. The second one not yet ordered.

91/22.2 Middle Cut

The Clerk reported that an additional land owner had been identified and would be contacted. Clerk to send a copy of the response from footpaths officer to counter proposal objectors. Letters to be sent to those non-responders.

93/22 COUNTY COUNCIL AND DISTRICT COUNCILLORS’ REPORTS

Cty Cllr Hitchen had sent his apologies but had nothing to report

B. Cllr McGrath reported that all the focus now was on working towards the change to the new authority.

94/22 APPLICATIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT:

94/22.1 To examine applications for development and submit observations to the Planning Authority

94/22.2 To ratify the observations submitted by the Clerk under devolved powers since the last meeting.

94/22.3 To note the decisions of the statutory planning authority with regards to recent applications

95/22 FINANCIAL RECORDS

95/22.1 The following payments were approved:

Dream Landscape Grass Cutting £600.00 Proposed Cllr Nugent, Seconded Cllr Wright

The Clerk reported that the Domain name was due for renewal and proposed that a 2 year deal was taken at a saving of £5.

The Clerk presented a draft budget to the council. After discussion, the clerk to present the final budget to the November meeting along with a detailed report to include projects for the next financial year and ring fenced reserves.

96/22 PARISH MATTERS

96/22.1 Community Plan

  1. Woodland Management

    Cllr Murray pursing 3 quotations for a bare tree survey of the woodlands.

  2. Footpath – Rising Hill to The Green

    The Clerk reported that no response had been received from CC Highways re-ownership. Due diligence had been undertaken to ascertain ownership of the land. Ghyll Scaur Quarry to be approached to undertake a services survey of the land.

  3. Traffic – Hallbank signage

    The Clerk reported that a request has been made that the signage be included in the next purchase by CC Highways. This had been acknowledged

  4. Traffic Management – speed survey data – Dunningwell

    The Clerk reported that CC Highways had been contacted re possible sites for siting of the speed survey equipment

  5. Hidden Gems Project

    Deferred to November meeting

  6. Play Inspection Report

Clerk to write to Village Hall Committee identifying which items the Parish Council are responsible for

Clerk to contact Prison for assistance in moving the bench.

96/22.2 Parish Projects

  1. Telephone Box repairs

The Clerk reported that a complaint has been submitted to Zurich re the lack of communication on the claim. 7 working days have been given for a response before a formal complaint will be submitted to the Insurance Ombudsman.

  1. South Copeland Community Partnership - GDF

Partnership trying to expand membership from other sections of the community Investment funding has been allocated for this financial year

Next meeting 12 October 2022 which will include a public participation session.
