Co-opted at the September 2015 Parish Meeting, and re-elected in May 2019 to serve on the Millom Without Parish Council



Born in Morpeth Northumberland.Moved with work frequently all around the country but eventually settled at The Hill Cumbria in 1988.Worked as a Governor in the Prison Service in a variety of roles for 39 years for which I was awarded the CBE. I retired in 2009 when I was Assistant Director responsible for all the Prisons in the NW.


Involved in community:

-Was a board trustee for a time with Citizen Advice Bureau Copeland

-Member of Millom Rotary

-Smallholder of shorthorn cattle,hens , horses and bees

-Committee member for Furness Beekeepers

-Parish Councillor with Millom Without Parish Council


Interests for the community:

-Ensuring we protect and support our area

-Engaging with residents on issues of concern and interest

-Interest in farming and animal husbandry in the area

-Supporting  local charities
